ABOUT DIGITAL STORYTELLING

What is Digital Storytelling (DST)?
The art of combining text, images and sound to create new and exciting presentations. A way of using technology to enhance one’s amazing creativity.

What can Digital Story Telling be used for?
Multimedia storytelling, vivid science and research projects, instructional materials or even personal web pages.

A great way to begin learning about Digital Storytelling is by watching the following video introduction to Digital Storytelling.

The purpose of the video is to show how historical video clips can be used along with still images to tell a story and hopefully, inspire viewers to think about how they can use digital media to tell their own stories.

In this example, the narrator provides a personal account about growing up during the period before the advent of personal computers, and how entertainment and important historical events were depicted in the media and helped forge a view of the modern world.

PROGRAM

This program will be conducted in a four days workshop at each school and there will be 129 participants (35 teams) comprising of 101 students , 20 teachers and 8 PGS from 11 schools (Malacca, Negeri Sembilan and Johore). Participants will undergo the following workshop as per schedule below and each team will be assigned to produce a short digital story based on their chosen topics. At the end of the workshop, each team will present their digital story and prizes will be awarded to the best digital story accordingly. All created contents will be uploaded into SchoolZone and shared with all participating schools nationwide.

1.Memberi pendedahan kepada murid tentang dunia blog di internet.

2.Mengajar cara-cara membuat blog secara percuma di Internet.

3.Murid-murid boleh menulis karangan didalam blog mereka sendiri. Selain itu murid boleh upload gambar atau video yang interaktif untuk tujuan pembelajaran mereka

4.Mengisi masa terluang di musim cuti sekolah di samping menggalakkan penggunaan internet sebagai medium pembelajaran murid di bidang IT.

5.Penggunaan internet dan komputer sebagai enabler dalam pengajaran dan pembelajaran.
